An article about the work of the Interior Alaska Land Trust ran on the front page in today’s Sunday edition of the Fairbanks Daily Newsminer. Reporter Matt Buxton observed that “The wild, relatively untouched land — part of a quickly shrinking supply of emerging wetlands in the greater Fairbanks area — could have seen any number of uses if it hadn’t been for neighbors and the Interior Alaska Land Trust, which recently donated the land as part of a 100-plus acre donation to the Borough, shielding it from development and ensuring public access for years to come.”
